Ahmed Isah initiates a fundraising initiative of 18billion in two weeks in a bid to end the ongoing ASUU strike.
Ahmed Isah popularly known as Ordinary president is the founder and CEO of a human rights foundation, Brekete Family. He is a human rights activist and a Nigeria Patriot.
As a concerned Nigerian, who has the interest of citizens and his nation at heart, he found it necessary to show concern for the ongoing labor conflicts by the striking Academic Staff Union of Universities in Nigeria.
The Ordinary President has tasked all Presidential aspirants to contribute an equivalent of what they paid for their presidential tickets, to raise 18billion Naira funds for the striking academic body so as the let Nigerian University students go back to classes.
The human rights activist in the person of Ahmad Isah set the ball rolling by contributing 10million Naira. He has directed the opening of an account to achieve this. Signatories of the account are the Acting Accountant General of the Federation, ASUU President, and ASUU Secretary.
He hopes to achieve this within two weeks. Donations are pouring in already. This means the Nigerian Universities will likely be open for academic activities any time soon. Meanwhile, students are advised to keep acquiring skills as the Nigerian President has sounded it to them all in the year 2021: “There are no jobs, even if you go to the best University in the country, there is no job available for you”.
On this note, we hope students remain calm as the nation as large is looking forward to ensuring Nigerian University students go back to their classes for learning.
