About WISE Internship
WiSE is a flagship 12-month virtual internship program that will provide real-world engineering and technology product development experience such as basic designing, coding, documentation, and so on. Throughout the program, each intern will be assigned a manager and a mentor.
To provide the best solutions to our customers, our interns write real software and collaborate with a select group of experienced software development engineers. This program will run from October 20, 2022 to September 20, 2023.
About mPharma

We are a small but growing team of 500+ people based in Accra, Ghana, and supported by world-class investors. We’ve collaborated with third-party payers, drug manufacturers, and healthcare providers to create products and services that directly lower prescription drug costs for patients. As a Data Engineer at mPharma, you will be part of an autonomous team of engineers, product managers, and designers who decide what and how to build. Every day, Data Engineers at mPharma work on problems such as how to create complex data enrichment pipelines, how to use computer vision to improve the onboarding experience, and how to present the wonders of Spark to the team. Furthermore, we believe that engineers play an important role in product definition, so you will collaborate with product managers and designers to determine how to solve real-world problems. At the end of the day, mPharma believes in people, and our team is collaborative as well as highly skilled.

Requirements for mPharma Internship Program Qualification
- Only female applicants are eligible.
- Applicant must have less than 2 years of relevant work experience in software engineering.
- Open to women from any educational background with a strong interest in software engineering. Educational background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields is preferred, but not required.
- Although no specific programming language is required – you should be familiar with the syntax of languages such as Java, C/C++, Javascript, or Python.
- Knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals such as object-oriented design, algorithm design, data structures, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
- Adept at handling ambiguous or undefined problems as well as ability to think abstractly.
- Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
- Passionate about coding, cutting-edge technologies, and developing great products.
